Chatsworth Road, Silverstream

For the most part hidden among among the trees along desirable Chatsworth Road, there are ten houses by architect James Chapman-Taylor. Most have now been altered and added to, particularly to give them modern kitchens and bathrooms. There is also at least one house in the English Cottage style bearing a resemblance to a Chapman-Taylor house, which it is not. Those by Chapman-Taylor are 1, 17, 23a, 24a, 27, 33, 41, 45, 53, and 71. Several are listed by the Historic Places Trust
