36 South Road, Manaia, South Taranaki
From this small town, bread is exported around the world. Yarrows have been baking in the town since 1923. At the centre of the town is a war memorial band rotunda. The Manaia golf course surrounds the Manaia Redoubt; this was built in 1912 as a memorial to replace the original redoubt building. The blockhouses are the actual buildings and date from about 1880.
