Mount Auckland Atuanui Walkway

An 8km (3.5 hour) walkway taking in the Mt Auckland summit (304 m) which has a lookout tower affording panoramic views. From the summit return to the start or go west and descend steeply to the Kaipara Coast Road through kauri -treed Mount Auckland Scenic Reserve.
A lambing restriction precludes access from the Kaipara Coast highway between August 1 and Sept 30.
