Whangarei Library

Widespread consultation was part of Jasmax's design process for this important replacement of Whangarei's central library (2005). The theme for the new Whangarei Central Library developed around the ‘baskets of knowledge’ (he kete wananga), calling on the universally known legend of Tane’s climb into the heavens. Visitors are welcomed at the entrance by 10 pouihi (carved poles).
