Totara Reserve

Native bush and birds can be found in 348 hectares of reserve. It includes a popular camping ground, Camp Rangi Woods. Picnic and camping areas are on the river flats. Swim, paddle or fish in the Pohangina river. The 5 km Fern Walk in the south-east sector is intended for all ages. It takes about two hours.
The reserve is administered by the Manawatu District Council and is subject to a pest control program.
