Baylys Beach

Sand yachting, trail biking, quad biking, hang gliding, surfing and fishing are things you can do on this West Coast beach, the gateway to the driveable 100 km Ripiro Ocean Beach; in the past a scene for many shipwrecks. Among the bachs and seaside cottages of the Baylys Beach community you will find the fully licensed Funky Fish Café and also surprisingly an observatory with the North Island's largest telescope.

Dargaville is the service town for this beach, and it is not far away.
