50 Seddon Road, Frankton, Whitiora, Hamilton City
"A purpose-built international quality cricket ground with a village green setting and picnic like atmosphere." Seddon Park is home for Northern Districts Cricket and is also used for ODIs and Tests. It is also a concert venue.
Named for Prime Minster Richard Seddon, it came into use in 1906 and has batted a century and some since then, thanks to it's thoughtful planning and the nine pitches lined up to choose from. It has become a world-class venue, featuring in the 2015 World Cup.
The embankment is popular with the spectators for the atmosphere and runs about three quarters of the way around the oval.
Hockey, Rugby Union and Rugby League also can make use of this facility, and it is often a venue for concerts.
