19 Ross Place, Owaka-Kuriwao Gorge, Clutha

Lawrence

Lawrence, which first developed as a gold mining township and now has a population of just over 500, has many interesting old buildings, including some which date back to the roistering 1860s. The hilltop cemetery is worth visiting for its elaborate iron work, beautiful Celtic crosses and the Chinese section.

Lawrence is at one end of the Clutha Gold Cycling Trail.
