Waitawa Regional Park

Find Waitawa 50km from central Auckland on the south-eastern coast, Waitawa is made up of three small peninsulas and fronts onto four bays. "Walking, horse riding and mountain biking tracks have been created throughout the varied landscape on the park."

There is an easy walk from the carpark to a Pa Site with spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf (weather permitting).

The Council manages a small bach and two campgrounds here, bookings need to be made well in advance.
