64-68 Princes Street, Hawera, South Taranaki
1890 courthouse in the middle of Hawera, where other buildings are designated Heritage-worthy but this is not.
Made from Timber with ornate decoration, it is still working as the town's courthouse. Several of the multiple chimneys have been done away with along with the picket fence out the front. Now dwarfed by roadside pohutukawas, this used to be one of Hawera's best buildings and illustrated postcards of the town.
